What's it all about?

Smart Resilient Cities is about exploring the capabilities of emerging technology and data processing tools for Disaster Risk Reduction.

We invite students, researchers, practitioners, and tech enthusiasts to engage with us and learn how technology can help shape resilience in cities in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our showcase event will highlight the exciting Smart Resilient Cities research currently happening through a series of lightning talks and demonstrations by students and researchers. The topics include community engagement, Kaupapa Māori, citizen science, structural engineering, digital technology, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, warning systems, uncertainty communication, among others.

The event will also provide an opportunity for participants to join in the discussion with the presenters.
