What's it all about?

Why is engineering important? We ask a design scholar, an engineering graduate and a primary school student for their perspective.

These aren't your average panelists - Dr Jan Kupec has travelled the world in his role with USAR responding to consecutive natural disasters. His daughter Anya has accompanied him. In his work as a ground engineer with Aurecon he is one of our most eminent technical experts, and has recently completed a design scholarship - an internal Aurecon programme that connects engineering with human-centric design.

Sam Morris is one of our engineering graduates. She brings a unique perspective to applying technical skills to real life problems - sneak preview here: Life at Aurecon: Engineering graduate Sam Morris - YouTube

Our panelists share what is important to them, what skills they believe are critical to flourish in this increasingly technical world, and how engineers (and aspiring engineers) can make a difference through innovation, diversity and human centered design.
