What's it all about?

For 20 years, researchers at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute have been breaking boundaries to improve the diagnosis and treatment of injury or disease.

Join us at the iconic Shakespeare Restaurant & Brewery to hear about some of the life-changing projects we are working on.

Professor Simon Malpas heads our Implantable Devices Research Group, developing tiny sensors and heart pumps that can save lives.

Dr Hayley Reynolds is developing advanced software tools and imaging biomarkers to enable precision treatment of melanoma, breast cancer and prostate cancer.

Amit Barde is part of our Empathic Computing Laboratory, (ECL). The ECL is exploring new ways for technology to enable people to better understand one another.

The Shakespeare Restaurant & Brewery is an Auckland Institution, welcoming locals and tourists since1898. Come show your support for this iconic venue.
