Canva is $20billion and scaling. This is more than Spark and Fonterra combined; NZ's two most valuable public companies. Mahesh was employee #25 at Canva and has been a senior exec in many other successful scaleups. He has been in the driving seat in these hugely successful startups. Having been there, he is sure that we can build "Canva" style growth companies in Aotearoa. He believes it is time for us to be more audacious with our goals for the ecosystem and the country.

Mahesh has held multiple executive roles in some of Australia's most iconic companies. He has experienced how to build a global Unicorn from ground up as an early employee at Canva (SAAS) helping to scale to 200+ people. He had the opportunity to drive operational excellence, helping Airtasker (marketplace) become profitable and go global. He was the COO at Simply Wall St (Fintech), as it hit an inflection point setting up the right foundations for it to accelerate and grow. Prior to all of this he had his own startup, which lay the groundwork for scaling startups. He is currently an investor and mentor in Startmate, Australia/New Zealand's premiere accelerator, recently voted in as the 2nd most valuable mentor by the startup cohort and has had the opportunity to consult and advise many startups as they navigate their way to success.
He is a University of Auckland alumni and back in New Zealand, excited about helping New Zealand's startup ecosystem grow even faster.
