Ben Reid is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's leading experts in emerging technologies and their relevance to our future economy and society. Ben is the author of the popular weekly Memia newsletter, covering leading edge technology developments and global change with a particular focus on the impacts for Aotearoa. From 2017-2019 he was the founding Executive Director of the AI Forum of New Zealand, a national association focused on growing New Zealand’s AI ecosystem and advancing AI policy. Ben is also a Beachheads Advisor at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, working with New Zealand exporters to grow digital capability, and a Director of Canterbury Angel Investors Inc., the Canterbury region's early stage investor network.
