What's it all about?

Asia-Pacific countries are dynamic global leaders, whether measured in terms of tech companies, innovators and investors, mobile-first consumers or digital trade rule-making.    This year, New Zealand is chairing the ‘APEC’ forum (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) which brings together 21 of the region's economies.  New Zealand is also chairing APEC's business arm, the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).    In this webinar, ABAC New Zealand member and Xero Chief Product Officer Anna Curzon will outline ABAC’s ambitious agenda on the digital economy for this year, focused on three pillars: how to create an enabling digital environment for small businesses (a workstream that she leads); ways to enhance the interoperability of digital trade; and approaches to support cutting-edge technologies such as AI.   Anna will then host a panel involving thought-leaders from the tech sector and government which will explore how they see the priorities, points of friction and opportunities on these topics.
