What's it all about?

It’s no secret that the underrepresentation of Māori & Pasifika in the tech & digital industry is a major issue. How do we bring the industry to the forefront, so it’s on the radar for our Māori and Pasifika rangatahi? As recruiters, we have our part to play in addressing this – and while there are no quick fixes, it starts at the grassroots.

On Wednesday 26th May, the Potentia whānau is coming together with Victoria University of Wellington to host a korero that is so close to our hearts. The time for talking is over, so let’s put all our cards on the table and tackle the barriers head on.

What will we be covering?

- Challenges for Māori and Pasifika in terms of equitable access to opportunity
- Identity as Māori as Pasifika in the tech and digital world (loss of mana).
- Future career pathways within tech and digital (both public and private sector)

Whether you’re a high school/university student, someone already on their career journey or an SME/enterprise leader keen to be a part of the solution – this unique korero is a Techweek21 event you don’t want to miss.
