Speakers
Simon is Callaghan Innovation's Group Manager AgriFood and leads the commercialisation workstream for the Agritech IndustryTransformation Plan (ITP). His teams work with AgriFood and agricultural innovators, from startups to established corporates; along with industry stakeholders, growers, and farmers.
Asantha moved to New Zealand in his 20s and built a number of successful businesses prior to founding New Zealand’s largest SME payroll provider, SmartPayroll. He sold that business and founded PaySauce to bring a fresh approach to payroll software and revolutionise the way SME owners pay staff and manage employment obligations.
From helping on the family farm near Reporoa to building a technology business focused on enabling financial and environmental sustainability for farmers, Bridgit is passionate about making a difference in the agricultural sector. Bridgit has an Agricultural Science degree at Massey University which has led to a range of roles that have given her knowledge and expertise across business, technology, science and social science. She started Regen with a good idea, great support and a leap of faith. Last year the company was sold to CropX, and is working towards sustainability on a global scale.
Scott has a unique blend of commercial, agritech and practical agricultural expertise. Growing up on the Hauraki Plains, Scott has a dairy farming upbringing with experience in large-scale corporate operations across NZ, Chile, USA and China. Scott has held roles in Fonterra in the milk supply commercial and strategy teams and went on to a commercial manager role overseeing the business performance of a 14,000+ cow dairy operation. In 2014 Scott set up Eltorito providing business management services for the primary industry, including agritech consulting.
