A repeat of our morning session.
Combined In-person at our Virtual Reality Centre in Newmarket and online via webinar (Limited to a maximum of 45 people in-person)
The VR Voom educational team will host a 90-minute presentation and discussion, for both in-person and online attendees, to introduce our approach for supporting teachers and schools when educating and enabling students to create their own content for Virtual Reality. Following this, a 1-hour tour and open session to try some of the VR experiences at our Centre (www.vrvoom.co.nz/experiences) will be made available for those attending in-person.
Taught in alignment with the NZ Technology Curriculum with a focus on digital technologies, we offer course materials and support services to enable teachers to teach students how to create their own content for VR experiences and games.
The target audience for these sessions is primary, intermediate, and secondary school teachers and education management.
Virtual Reality (VR) enthusiast and driven game programmer, who is also deeply passionate to bring industry knowledge directly to learners in schools, whether student or teacher. Graduated from Media Design School with a Bachelor's in Software Engineering - Game Programming.
As a registered teacher, Kerry is passionate about supporting teachers and learners in Technology Education. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, the chair of Technology Education New Zealand (TENZ), and on numerous national and international technology education councils.
Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering at the University of Auckland, currently Director of Software Engineering & Software Engineering Masters Advisor. Passionate about teaching, has won teaching excellence awards and dedicates his research efforts towards digital educational engineering.
Technology specialist educator has taught many ages, needs, and cultures in different school environments. Sarah is conversant with the latest revisions in Technology and has gained excellence in Technology teaching awards. Volunteers on TENZ Council & DTTA committee.
